The Mindset Stage

Having been both a fan and volunteer at the Brecon Jazz Festival, I’ve been lucky enough to experience some of the world’s most incredible jazz talent. But it’s not just the musicians that inspire me – in my everyday life, I meet people with a ‘Jazz Mindset’ – a way of thinking, a way of living, a mindset that knows when to play, when to listen, when to follow the rules, and when to break them. It’s creative mindset, it’s adaptable outlook, and it’s a brain that’s always open to new possibilities. 

And that’s where the idea for the Mindset Stage was born. It’s a platform to showcase people who may not be jazz musicians but who definitely live life with that same jazz spirit. I’m absolutely thrilled to be bringing this unique stage to Brecon Jazz Festival as it celebrates its 40th anniversary, and I can’t wait to see you there!
